About Woodlands North
Growing up im a small town, I had ample woodlots and forests to explore. As careers progressed and urban sprawl increased, those days quickly became a thing of the past. My work took me all over North America, and confined me to a desk or car for 10+ hours a day. After 15 years, this took a toll on my mental and physical health. Looking back on my childhood, I had many fond memories from time spent outdoors, and I knew I needed to get back to basics! I started the Woodlands North Project three years ago in an attempt to re-connect with the outdoors. I often try to include my children in as many activities as I can as I believe this will decrease "screen and phone time" and also get them connected to the outdoors. My time outdoors consists of:
- Hiking in Beautiful Wooded areas.
- Practising Bushcraft Tasks
- Camping
- Fishing
- and much much more!
